Tekken 7 PS4 Input Lag Will Be Fixed Soon, Says Harada

Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada has said that the game’s PlayStation 4 input lag will be fixed in its next update, which releases sometime this week.

There’s been a lot of discussion online about the problem, with many noting that it makes the PS4 version of the game unstable compared to the Xbox One and PC versions. It has been reported that the lag resulted from a combination of things including the Unreal Engine 4. According to Harada, it occurs with certain wired pads and is a hardware issue. He also said that the Unreal Engine 4 “eats 3-4 frames.”

Regardless, Bandai Namco is putting an end to it soon so stay tuned. This week’s update will also include multiplayer tuning and adjustments among some general fixes.

We’ll update our readers when the patch goes live. In the meantime, head over to our Tekken 7 hub for more on the game.
