Star Ocean: The Last Hope Remaster Releasing Next Month

Fans hoping to get their hands on the prequel to Star Ocean soon can rest easy, as it’s been announced that Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the prequel to the original game, is officially coming out on November 28, 2017.

Square Enix originally announced that the game would be getting a full 4K and HD remaster last week, and now have just dropped more information on how to buy it. The game will be released digitally on both the PlayStation Store and Steam for $20.99. From November 28 and running through December 12, any PlayStation Plus members who purchase the game will receive a 10% discount. If you purchase the game on the PS Store before January 8th, you’ll receive an exclusive PlayStaton theme and 12 PlayStation Network Avatars.

The original Star Ocean: The Last Hope released way back in February of 2009 on the Xbox 360 and was followed by a release in 2010 for the PlayStation 3. At the time, those games only ran at about 720p, so the jump to 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro and full HD for the standard PS4 should be huge. In addition to the new visuals, it will also support trophies and share functionality.
