Fourth Trailer for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Published

Bandai Namco has published the fourth trailer for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, which shows more details on the game’s features. Fatal Bullet is the upcoming title in the highly popular Sword Art Online series that takes place in Gun Gale Online. And SBC Glocken, the main city in the virtual online game, will be also of course featured here.

Unlike past Sword Art Online games that had the player in Kirito’s perspective, Fatal Bullet will let the player go through the story from their own perspective with a created character. In SBC Glocken, the player will be able to purchase weapons and equipment which will directly affect the character’s appearance.

At the player’s own room they will be able to set their own skill set as well as AI behaviors for Afasys, the character that will be the player’s main partner. Usable skills will depend on the equipped weapon, while there is also another type of support item called Gadget that can be freely used regardless of weapon type.

The player will also be able to take subquests in SBC Glocken, and they can form a party of up to four characters including Afasys and the player themselves (By the way, Kirito will also be selectable as a party member). Clearing subquests will net rewards and drop items that are used to strengthen the player character. When the character levels up, they earn CP points that can be allocated to the Strength, Vitality, Intelligence, Agility, Dexterity, and Luck stats. However, be advised that CP allocations will be irreversible.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will also have an online mode where you can play together with up to 8 players worldwide. Some of the online battle rules include 4-vs-4 battles, where every player will also get accompanied by their Afasys partners. Japan will get a headstart when Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet gets released there first for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 8. The rest of the world will follow when the international release, as well as a Steam version, is out on February 23.
