Don’t Expect Any Yakuza Announcements at PSX, Says Sega

PlayStation Experience 2017 is right around the corner and if you’re expecting a Yakuza announcement akin to the show’s previous years (we’ve heard one every year since 2014), then you’re in for a little bit of disappointment. During a recent livestream, Sega’s Sam Mullen and Scott Strichart revealed that there won’t be any Yakuza-related announcement this time. However, we’re told that 2018 will be a “great year” for the series so here’s hoping we get some exciting news next year.

In other PSX 2017 news, Sony has summarized the show’s entire program in a single blog post for those who are planning to tune in. Whether you’re livestreaming or attending in person next Saturday, you’ll meet the cast of The Last of Us Part II, celebrate Uncharted‘s 10th anniversary, see more of Media Molecule’s Dreams, learn more about PlayStation VR, and much more!

Those who were intrigued by the recent reveal of Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima will be pleased to note that a panel will be dedicated to the game on the same day (at 3.30pm PT) during which the studio will share the game’s sources of inspiration, some concept art, and discuss the making of its debut trailer.

Show hours are 10am-10pm PT on Saturday, and 10am-6pm PT on Sunday, December 9 and 10 respectively.
