Star Wars Battlefront 2 Update Increases End of Match Credit Rewards

Earlier today, DICE made some adjustments to Star Wars Battlefront 2 ahead of the first season of free additional content as they begin to mend the rift created with fans upon launch. There is nothing to download as the update was made on the server side of the game. End of game credit payouts are now higher and based more on scoreboard positioning, daily loot boxes provide more crafting parts, and arcade mode daily credit limit is now 1500 instead of 500. This series of changes will make the game feel more rewarding to play, and will reward the players who perform well in matches. Here’s what DICE had to say about each update.

The end-of-round payout has been increased. This is an area we agree needed to be buffed a bit, especially when it comes to rewarding players for doing well in-game. We’re upping the number of Credits you get for a match across the board, and specifically bumping the top players on each team by even more.

Earn 3X more Credits daily in Arcade Mode. It’s been made clear that you were hitting the Arcade Mode Credit cap faster than we expected, so we wanted to alleviate that by increasing it to 1500 Credits. While we’re still looking into ways to add more content into it the mode in the long-term, we think that this should help in the near-term for those who want rewards for completing the different scenarios.

Daily Login Crates will now provide more crafting parts than before. You’ll notice the change right away when you log in. Crafting the Star Cards you want will help make sure you’re progressing in the direction you want, and we absolutely want to empower that. This should help you get where you want to go faster when it comes to crafting and upgrading.

Tomorrow begins the Star Wars Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi season, starting off with faction challenges that let players choose between the First Order and the Resistance. Next week, new content is coming to the game for free, including an additional galactic assault map, starfighter assault map, Finn and Phasma heroes, and three new single-player campaign chapters. DICE says that they have a lot more planned for content and updates, and we’ll keep you updated as more things are announced.
