Burnout Paradise Remastered Spotted at Brazilian Retailer

This is only a rumor, but this seems promising! A Brazilian retailer has listed Burnout Paradise Remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a likely placeholder date of March 1, 2018. Burnout Paradise was the latest entry to the Burnout series on PlayStation 3, so if any game is going to be remastered, this title makes the most sense!

The listing was posted on Brazilian blog GamePress, and you can see the listing below:

TheNerdMag states that 149.90 Brazilian Real (R$) equals out to about 45 USD, but since video games are generally higher priced in the country, the price for Burnout Paradise Remastered would most likely be around $30, should it actually be announced and released.

Of course, this new listing is at odds with news earlier this year, wherein Criterion had no plans of bringing Burnout to PlayStation 4:

While the PlayStation 3 saw a couple of Burnout games from Criterion Games, don’t expect a new one anytime soon, or even a remaster of the last Burnout game made by the developer, Burnout Paradise.

As we all know though, plans change, and a Burnout remaster is easier to create than a new game, especially if Criterion wants to gauge interest in the series. Also, with the release of WipEout Omega Collection and a large number of other racing titles, it’s possible that Criterion sees the potential of reviving the Burnout name.

Are you hoping that Burnout Paradise Remastered is more than just a rumor?
