E3 2018: Respawn Announces Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

During the E3 2018 press conference, Respawn dropped the name of its upcoming Star Wars title. For holiday 2019, the Titanfall developer plans to release Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game will take place between Star Wars episodes three and four, and will be set during the part of the story when Jedi are being hunted down.

Since the announcement, EA has launched the official website for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Not much more info is present, but it does state players will take on the role of a surviving padawan, soon after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. You can also register your email for when more news about the game does come in.

The title and name of the game piques my interest. Could Star Wars Jedi represent the intent to make this into a new series, beyond just the one game? Previously, LucasArts has a Star Wars Jedi Knight series. Perhaps this could be a spiritual successor of sorts.
