Heads up, Sonic the Hedgehog fans! If a new rumor is to be believed, we may see the upcoming Team Sonic Racing get pushed out of 2018. There’s been no confirmation yet, but there have been signs pointing towards it being delayed into 2019.
The rumor comes from a snapshot of a Russian gaming magazine shared on Twitter and spotted by Nintendo Life. While it is in Russian, there is a very obvious “2019” slapped on the article.

There’s been no official comment from Sega on the validity of this rumor. Team Sonic Racing was originally announced in May 2018 and only given a vague “Winter 2018” release window. Since then, Sega hasn’t given us any more information on a concrete release date.
Rumor: Team Sonic Racing Delayed into a 2019 Release
With the lack of Sega clarification, it’s unknown what the cause of this supposed delay is. It may be a simple case of a game needing more polish, although here’s hoping Sega releases a statement soon. This could all be an error on the magazine’s part or this delay, if true, may only be for the European release. Until more information is provided, there isn’t much else to go on.
