October 2021’s PlayStation Now Lineup Apparently Includes The Last of Us II and Fallout 76

Sony Interactive Entertainment seems to have jumped the gun and has added October 2021’s PlayStation Now titles to the service ahead of an official announcement (which should be coming tomorrow). According to screenshots circulating online, The Last of Us Part II, Fallout 76, Desperados III, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and Yet Another Zombie Defense HD are joining the service.

The addition of a Bethesda game might surprise some, but the publisher has previously said that it’ll continue to support other platforms when it comes to multiplatform titles. Fallout 76 has come a long way since its rocky launch, so it’s a worthy addition to PlayStation Now.

PlayStation Now saw exponential growth in FY 2020. The service nearly doubled the amount of subscribers – from 1.8 million in FY 2019 to 3.2 million in FY 2020. Sony considers Cloud to be one of its growth vectors, and has pledged continuous investment to evolve Cloud technology.

The Last of Us Part II is a major addition, then, considering PC owners will be able to check out one of the best-selling PlayStation exclusives of the last generation.

According to data shared by Sony back in June, The Last of Us 1 was among the most-played games on PC via PlayStation Now in Spring 2021. Bloodborne headlined the list, followed by Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel’s Avengers, and Detroit: Become Human. The service received 1080p support in April this year.

We’ll update our readers when Sony officially announces October 2021’s PlayStation Now lineup. A blog post is expected to go up tomorrow with further details so check back for more information.
