Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror

Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror DLC Hits PS5 and PS4 in April

Back 4 Blood will be getting its first Tunnels of Terror DLC expansion with a release date set for next month. The DLC will add a new Ridden Hives PvE co-op mode, new playable Cleaners and Ridden variants, more character and weapon skins, as well as other content when it arrives on PS5 and PS4 in April.

When will Tunnels of Terror be released?

The Tunnels of Terror DLC will arrive for Back 4 Blood on April 12. The main draw of the DLC is the new Ridden Hives activity where teams of up to four players can explore seven dungeons below Evansburgh. The dungeons promise to be a maze of tunnels that are filled with a new type of Ridden: Warped Ridden. These include Urchins that can set landmines, Shredders and Rippers. The reward will be exclusive loot and rewards that can only be found in the Ridden Hives.

The new Warped Ridden variants will also be added to the PvP Swarm mode. Two new playable Cleaners will join the other team too. Sharice is a firefighter who’s quite handy with an axe, while Heng is a restaurateur whose new occupation is to get rid of Ridden. A new No Hope difficulty will make things even harder for elite players, and the DLC will also include eight new character skins, seven legendary weapons, 12 weapon skins, and new cards.

Turtle Rock wanted to make it clear there will not be any microtransactions in this DLC, nor will there be any added to the game in the future. In fact, they’re being quite generous with the DLC in that all players in a party will be able to play the new content as long as at least one party member owns Tunnels of Terror. The DLC will be available as a standalone purchase or as part of the Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, or Back 4 Blood Annual Pass.

In other news, the free Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude has released on PS5 and PS4 today. The visual novel aims to introduce players to the game’s characters and their back stories. Elsewhere, Hogwarts Legacy is rumored to be part of a PlayStation State of Play show scheduled for some time this month.
