Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Reveal Date

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Gets Weapons Hot Ahead of Reveal Next Week

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn’t due to be revealed until next week, but that hasn’t stopped Activision and Infinity Ward from dropping a live-action teaser trailer ahead of that reveal date. We get a glimpse of Task Force 141 as they’re entering the danger zone and are preparing to step straight into the line of fire.

Going weapons hot in the latest trailer

The new live-action teaser trailer shows Task Force 141 as they’re being driven in an armored vehicle to the front line. Captain John Price plays with a lighter, John “Soap” MacTavish loads his gun and applies face paint, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick primes his weapon as bullets hit the window behind him, while Simon “Ghost” Riley contemplates the scene. With an order of “weapons hot vaqueros!”, Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas leads the team into a chaotic battle.

No other details were revealed. However, rumors claim that the game will have exclusive PSVR 2 content that many are hoping will be revealed in tonight’s State of Play show. Regardless, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has gotten a reveal date and time. You’ll get to see the game at 10 am PT on June 8 where we’re expecting to get a glimpse at the campaign and any other single-player content. The reveal is also expected to confirm the different editions for the game as well as an open beta that is rumored to be coming to PS5 and PS4 before other platforms. However, the multiplayer content is likely to be revealed later this summer.

In other news, BioWare confirmed that Dragon Age 4 will officially be called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and will feature Solas, otherwise known as the Dread Wolf, as the antagonist. Elsewhere, Horizon Call of the Mountain seems to have had a graphics upgrade since its first teaser trailer at the start of the year; this game will also be making an appearance in today’s State of Play show.
