An official PS Store listing for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine has narrowed down the PS5 exclusive’s release date window. Sony had previously confirmed a fall 2026 launch, but if PS Store Mexico is to be believed, we expect the game to launch in September 2026, which makes sense.
Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 release date likely set in September 2026
As spotted by players, Marvel’s Wolverine Mexican PS Store listing claims that the game will launch on the PS5 in the third quarter of 2026.
Considering the third quarter runs from July to September and Sony’s confirmation of a fall 2026 release, a September launch is highly likely.
September launch also makes sense for several reasons, with the main one being GTA 6‘s release. It’s an open secret that developers are avoiding scheduling their games around what will inevitably become this generation’s biggest hit.
It’s also worth noting that PlayStation Studios do have a history of September launches. Insomniac’s PS4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man also launched in September.
Sony has a PlayStation State of Play event scheduled for this Thursday, February 12. We might get a new look at Wolverine, but whether a release date will be announced or not remains to be seen.
Our guess is that a release date reveal will come sometime in the summer.
