Insomniac Games has officially revealed the release date for its upcoming Wolverine game, confirming when fans can get their hands on the highly anticipated Marvel video game.

In a recent post on social media, Insomniac confirmed that the Marvel’s Wolverine release date has officially been set for September 15, 2026. Rumors of the game’s release date being September began popping up earlier this month, and now the developer has confirmed the news.
Marvel’s Wolverine is the latest Marvel video game released by Insomniac Games, which have previously released the three modern Spider-Man games. This game, as its title suggests, is all about Wolverine, and will feature a litany of other characters from the world of X-Men in the game as well.
As of now, not a ton of concrete information is known about the story of the game. The game will focus on Wolverine traveling to various locations and confronting his own past and self, but the only footage we’ve seen of the game focuses on more of the brutal combat set to be a huge part of it.
Marvel’s Wolverine was originally revealed during the 2021 PlayStation Showcase with a teaser trailer. Formally revealed information about the game was scarce until recently, when Insomniac Games and Marvel Games revealed more about the game. It also released a brand-new trailer, giving PS5 players a glimpse of what to expect from Logan’s latest adventure.
