Resident Evil is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026. To get in on the celebrations, PlayStation is offering up some digital freebies.
How to claim free Resident Evil 30th anniversary freebies?
In honor of the game’s anniversary, PlayStation is offering up free avatars to players on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The offer for the avatars lasts from now until April 30, 2026, and claiming them is free, but does involve a couple of steps.
In order to claim the avatars, users must wishlist or purchase Resident Evil Requiem, then download the Sony Pictures Core app from the media home screen of the PS4 or PS5. After downloading the app, players will have to navigate to the PlayStation website and find the anniversary page for Resident Evil. Then, all you have to do is sign up on the campaign website in the app to receive a voucher.
According to PlayStation, voucher codes will be delivered via email and through PlayStation’s notification systems on the consoles sometime by late June 2026, after the campaign ends.
The avatars include a variety of options of characters from the Resident Evil franchise, both in CG movie form, as well as how they look in Capcom’s 30th anniversary illustration.
