Remaster of 26-Year-Old PlayStation Exclusive RPG Leaked

A beloved PlayStation exclusive RPG that originally released in 2000 is getting remastered, a leak has revealed. Known in North America as Tales of Destiny II, Tales of Eternia is a Bandai Namco action RPG that was first released on the PS1 and was later ported to the PSP in 2006. It has not been released on any other platform thus far.

PlayStation RPG Tales of Eternia is getting remastered, but is it coming to PS5?

As spotted by X user Wario64, the European rating board PEGI recently rated Tales of Eternia Remastered for the Nintendo Switch. The now-deleted listing did not mention any other platform, but we have to wait for an official announcement to confirm whether Tales of Eternia will launch on the PS5 as well.

Given the recent treatment of other Tales classics, we don’t think Bandai Namco will limit this one to the Switch, but we should get a confirmation soon.

“Role-playing game which follows the story of Reid and his friends, Farah and Keele, as they meet a mysterious girl named Meredy who speaks an unknown language,” PEGI wrote in the now-deleted listing. “Their subsequent quest to discover her origins leads them across a dimensional boundary to an entirely different realm known as Celestia.”

We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
