PS5 players have been clamoring for an update on Marvel’s Wolverine, and our prayers have finally been answered. In an unusual move, Sony has announced its next PlayStation State of Play event two weeks in advance, during which we’ll finally get a new look at the highly anticipated Insomniac Games title.
PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine will get long-awaited update in PlayStation State of Play for June 2026
The next PlayStation State of Play is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. We’re not sure why Sony has opted for a Tuesday instead of the usual Thursday events, but you can expect “more than 60 minutes of updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals from top studios around the world.”
Marvel’s Wolverine will kick off the show, and we reckon it will take up a chunk of the show’s time as the game will launch in three months. “Insomniac Games will share more from its upcoming third-person action-adventure game, showing off Logan’s brutal and relentless combat along with some new details,” Sony wrote on the PS Blog.
Marvel’s Wolverine will launch on September 15, 2026. Unlike previous Insomniac Games titles, this one will remain exclusive to PS5 as Sony has decided to keep its single-player games confined to its own ecosystem.
