Games leaving PS Plus (Last Chance to Play)

Games Leaving PS Plus in August 2026 May Include Hit Day-1 Title

In the coming weeks, Sony will reveal the full list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2026, and we’re back with our monthly predictions for upcoming departures based on the service’s pattern. Do note that some of the July departures have been pushed to August, so we already have a partial list.

Games expected to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2026

As a reminder, games tend to leave the service after 12 months and/or 24 months. Occasionally, you’ll see games leaving PS Plus after six months, too. This article contains predictions based on this pattern and is meant to give our readers a heads-up.

Nearly all the games that were added to the catalog two years ago have already left the service. And we don’t expect any of the games added six months ago to leave.

This leaves us with the games added a year ago. Day-one games typically have a one-year contract, so players should prioritize hit title, Sword of the Sea. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is also completing one year on PS Plus, but first-party games don’t necessarily leave at that mark.

Other games added to PS Plus a year ago that are still in the catalog include Mortal Kombat 1, Earth Defense Force 6, Unicorn Overlord, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, Indika, Harold Halibut, and Coral Island.

We’ll update our readers when the departure list is officially revealed.
