Sony Interactive Entertainment has quietly dropped a new PS5 feature update that adds a handy new widget to the Welcome Hub. We’re not sure when it was rolled out, but the Welcome Hub now displays players’ Weekly Wrap-Up, and it looks pretty neat.
PS5 update adds Weekly Wrap-Up to the Welcome Hub, but a major feature remains broken
The Weekly Wrap-Up card was brought to our attention by a Reddit user, who didn’t say whether they’re a beta participant. I don’t have this card on my end, even after manually downloading the latest feature updates.
Here’s what the widget looks like:
The stats displayed include: most played game, total playtime for the week, number of trophies earned, and a snapshot of the rarest trophy unlocked during the week.
In response to the Reddit thread, a few users said they had only recently noticed the Weekly Wrap-Up card, while others hadn’t seen it at all. Based on this, we’re unable to tell whether Sony is doing a staggered rollout or if this is a beta update.
Meanwhile, the PS5’s Recently Played feature remains broken for millions of users (myself included) for almost a month now. Sony has yet to acknowledge the issue.
