Highly Anticipated PlayStation 5 RPGs Get Release Date Window

Two highly anticipated PlayStation 5 RPGs have finally received a release window. Both games are expected to arrive sooner rather than later for curious gamers.

It’s been revealed that Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game are planned to launch during Embracer Group’s fiscal year running from April 2027 to March 2028, according to Gematsu, citing an interim report from Embracer Group.

Darksiders 4, part of the hack-and-slash action-adventure series, was announced last year. The next Kingdom Come game was confirmed earlier this year.

What is the rumored name for the new Kingdom Come game?

The new Kingdom Come game is rumored to be titled Kingdom Come Salvation, according to a trademark filed by Warhorse Studios, as noticed by Phrasemaker. However, fans should take the early reports with a grain of salt unless there is an official confirmation of the new Kingdom Come game’s title.

The latest trademark also revealed that Warhorse’s team is possibly working on a new open-world Middle-Earth RPG alongside the third Kingdom Come entry, which will be an open-world game as well, just like its predecessor.

Speaking more of the Kingdom Come franchise, its last installment, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, was received very positively. Currently, it holds a spectacular Metascore of 89 out of 100 and a user score of 8.7 out of 10 on Metacritic.

The game was a hit in terms of sales as well. In June this year, it was revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II surpassed 6 million units sold since its original launch in February 2025. The game could continue adding to that total, much like the original did.

Released in 2018, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance reached 10 million units sold last year, according to Warhorse Studios.

The developer will hope to continue the franchise’s successful run with the third game as well.
