A new PS5 action adventure game in a popular franchise that received rave reviews will launch today on the PS Store. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is the third game in the Asobo Studio series that debuted in 2019 and became a surprise hit.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy’s review embargo was lifted well before release, and the game currently boasts a Metacritic score of 80/100 on the PS5 based on 50 critic reviews.
Although it’s the third game in the series, Resonance is set 15 years before the events of 2022’s Requiem.
Returning players will be familiar with the protagonist Sophia, who is described as “a fierce young plunderer on the run and determined to uncover the secrets of her past.”
“Sophia’s journey leads to the Minotaur’s Island, where she faces deadly trials, navigates treacherous trails, solves puzzles, all while fighting and staying one step ahead of the army chasing her,” an official overview reads. “But the true challenge awaits, as the terrifying creature hidden behind the myth will soon resonate with her…”
The game allows players to switch between the Middle Ages and the Minoan period.
