The PlayStation Vita may not be out until late 2011 or early 2012, but that doesn’t mean that Sony are going to hold back on advertising the handheld before its launch. After creating a fantastic YouTube portal last month, the company have released another video for the Vita, this time highlighting the social aspects and the cross-play ability of the portable platform.
The video – while not introducing anything new – helps to describe some of the features in the Vita, and shows how social gaming is important to Sony. As we draw closer to the release of the handheld, the marketing is sure to ramp up even more, but it remains to be seen if Kevin Butler or the PSP’s Marcus Rivers will be the platform’s spokesperson.
Due to its age, the PlayStation Portable was rather lacking when it came to social features, but it’s great to see that the Vita not only has better social connectivity than the PSP, but also the PS3, 3DS or any mobile device.
