Ubisoft’s tactical squad shooter series Rainbow 6, based on the Tom Clancy novel of the same name, is getting a new installment called Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots. Patriots will receive a world premiere trailer debut at SpikeTV’s VGAs this Saturday, and to whet your appetite, Ubisoft has released a new still image.
The publisher officially announced today that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots will, in fact, receive a trailer premiere at the VGAs. Attached to that announcement was a new still image (which technically may or may not be from the trailer, but likely is) from the game, which is currently scheduled for release in 2013. The publisher recently released the first details about the title, which can be read here.
The still shows an older man, badly cut with open wounds, being held down against a wooden floor by someone with a gun, while another man appears to be yelling at or interrogating the injured man. The image can be seen below:
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots is in development for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
