Square Enix has released new screenshots of their upcoming game, Hitman: Absolution. In these screenshots, Agent 47 is shown…well, let’s just say doing what he does best.

In a couple of the screenshots, Agent 47 appears to be impersonating a priest. In one of those, he’s holding a fire axe to someone’s head. In another one of them, he’s holding a bible in a church or chapel which is on fire. In another, he’s holding a gun waiting for some criminals to come down a flight of stairs. Other screenshots show him hitting a guy in a mask, hiding a body in a closet, firing on masked men in a room on fire, firing a shotgun at a criminal, and injecting something into a criminal’s neck. The last screenshot shows the armed criminal-looking men in a room, surrounding a policeman who’s been tied to a chair and is also wounded.

Hitman: Absolution is in development for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and is currently scheduled to release sometime this year.
