Back in December, you may recall that developer Square-Enix filed a trademark for “Hitman Profession” in Europe. Now one month later, they’ve got another Hitman tagline they wish to trademark, “Hitman Sniper Challenge”.
Initially, speculation regarding another Hitman title began to hit the web when word got out that Square Enix Europe wanted the “Hitman Profession” title. Now, considering there has been yet another Hitman trademark added, it would lead one to believe that perhaps these two taglines are actually tied to Absolution, which is set to launch later this year.
After all, it’s hard to believe that “Hitman Sniper Challenge” would actually be the name of a new, stand alone title. But then again, you never know; it could be a budget-priced motion-based game that makes use of the Move and/or Kinect.
Hitman Absolution, the latest title to come out of IO Interactive, is set to launch sometime this year for the PlayStation 3.
