Persona 4 Arena Coming To North America This August, Details & Screenshots Released

Atlus will be bringing Persona 4 Arena to PS3s and Xbox 360s in North America this summer.

On the PS Blog, Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales for Atlus, made the announcement. Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game created by Arc System Works (BlazBlue). The game has ten fighters from the cast of Persona 3 and Persona 4, each of which has summonable Persona for their special attacks, with each Persona having its own moveset. The fighters confirmed so far are Chie Satonaka, Aigis, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Teddie.

Story-wise, Persona 4 Arena is set a short time after the Midnight Channel from Persona 4 went off the air. However, after it went off the air, a new program featuring a bizarre fighting tournament with deadly stakes began.

Persona 4 Arena‘s retail release will feature console-exclusive Story and Online modes. Right now, Atlus is doing everything they can to retain the English voice casts from Persona 3 and Persona 4, and can’t yet confirm or deny the inclusion of the original Japanese voice track.

Jabbari confirmed in the comments that Persona 4 Arena will be a full retail release and also said that there are no plans or details regarding a PSN release at this time.
