Starhawk Beta Update: New Vehicles, 32 Player Map, & More, Beta Ends March 27th

Sony & LightBox Interactive have revealed the new features available in the Starhawk beta with the most recent update. They’ve released a new trailer for the beta update, in addition to concept art and a screenshot from the game.

On the PS Blog, SCEA Senior Producer Harvard Bonin announced that the Starhawk beta update — which is available now — includes fixes and features for the game. As far as features are concerned, Bonin revealed a 32-player map called Planet Dust, a Sidewinder Jetbike (a fast vehicle capable of jumps which is used for quick attacks/kills or swarming enemy bases), and an Ox Heavy Tank (a durable tank capable of taking damage, destroying enemy walls and structures from long-range, hitting mechs with explosive shells, and surviving barrages).

Bonin also revealed that the Starhawk beta will end on March 27th.

On the Starhawk official site community forums, a Starhawk Community Manager with the username HawkStarJay revealed that the update also adds clan support, colorblind options, and a few little “surprises” as well.
