Bizarre post-apocalyptic animal survival sim Tokyo Jungle has shipped an impressive 200,000 copies in Japan, despite looking worse than a PS2 game.

Since its June 7th release, the game has passed 200,000 copies that were either shipped to retailers, or sold on the PlayStation Network. Andriasang reports that Sony Japan is rather happy with the number, having sold most of its stock and topping the Japanese charts.

The game is set for both a European and American release sometime later this year, presumably only over PSN.
