Ken Levine Doesn’t Think There Will be Any More BioShock Infinite DLC, “We Need to Focus on the Future”

Taking time away from his patented sarcastic responses, Irrational Games Creative Director and Co-Founder Ken Levine replied to some people asking about BioShock Infinite’s Burial at Sea Episode 2 DLC, which received a trailer earlier this week (it’s filled with spoilers).

After letting everyone know that the release date for Burial at Sea Episode 2 will be announced “pretty soon,” and how that spoiler-filled trailer is from 2 minutes to 5 minutes in the upcoming DLC, Levine confirmed how there will be “a LOT” of gameplay mechanics they’re approaching differently in Episode 2.

Once Episode 2 is released, completing the Season Pass, Levine essentially confirmed that there won’t be any more content for BioShock Infinite:

At this stage, we need to focus on the future, so i think yes [Burial at Sea Episode 2 will be the last DLC].

Going back a couple of days on his feed, I’m not sure if this is a sarcastic response or him referencing how his team wasn’t behind BioShock 2, but someone asked Ken if there will be a trilogy of BioShock games. Levine replied, “There are 3 games. Don’t know if they’re a trilogy.”

Do you hope Irrational will start work on a new-gen BioShock game? Or would you rather see them do a new IP? Let us know in the comments below.
