Human Element Confirmed for PS4, Runs on CryEngine

Taking place 35 years after a zombie apocalypse, you are charged with rebuilding society in the open-world survival game Human Element, which developer Robotoki has confirmed will run on CryEngine and is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Robert Bowling, Creative Director and Robotoki President, had this to say about Human Element and CryEngine:

The ambitious narrative and gameplay of Human Element required an innovative set of features in order to achieve our vision. CryEngine is the perfect fit for us because it delivers so many powerful features straight out of the box, such as the physical based shading system and the infinite terrain from segmented worlds, to create a massive open-world experience, but still allow the visual fidelity and detail our players expect from a first person experience from our team.

Over on Twitter, Bowling confirmed Human Element’s PC release date will be November 2015, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions don’t have a release date yet. In addition, you can expect a secondary experience to arrive on mobile.

Bowling also revealed that the Ouya prequel to Human Element was cancelled “very early on,” it will be a little while before we see a trailer for the game, and Human Element will be at E3 2014, but it’s only confirmed for a behind closed doors showcase, and they “haven’t decided if we’ll show publicly yet.”
