Rocket League Now an Official eSport, Kickoff Cups Begin Sunday

Even though it only came out on PlayStation 4 and PC a few days ago, Rocket League has now become an official eSport.

On the game’s official Twitter account, the developers shared the exciting news:

At the same time, it looks like a new Twitter account for ESL Rocket League, with ESL being one of the largest eSport organizations in the world, has popped up:

Pretty exciting stuff, especially since the first of several Rocket League kickoff cups will begin on Sunday, July 12, although these will be replaced with Go4RocketLeague in August. Check out the ESL website for information on how to sign up, and be sure to check out our review of the game.
