Report: Final Fantasy XV Demo Coming Soon, DLC Being Planned (Update)

Update:

Square Enix has informed us that the demo mentioned in VGTime’s interview is the previously announced Final Fantasy XV playable tech demo, which will be available as a separate release in the future.

Original story:

Final Fantasy XV Director, Hajime Tabata, has hinted in an interview with Chinese publication VGTime that the next Final Fantasy XV demo might appear at a Japanese event “not too far from now.” He could be referring to the Jump Festa, which is set to take place on December 19 and 20 in Japan. We’re told that the demo is in production at the moment and although it’ll be relatively small, Tabata hopes that more people will have a chance to play it.

When asked about DLC plans for Final Fantasy XV, Tabata said that Square Enix is still planning and nothing is set in stone as yet (translation courtesy of Nova Crystallis).

We understand that there is demand for DLCs across all regions during the period of the game’s release. As such, we are still in the process of planning. It could be either paid or free. But the objective is to improve the player content.

PSLS is hoping to attend Jump Festa barring any unforeseen circumstances. We’ll keep our readers posted.
