Kiefer Sutherland, Mark Hamill Topline Celebrity Presenters to Feature at The Game Awards 2015

The Hollywood Reporter brings word of the celebrity guests to appear at Thursday’s The Game Awards 2015, with the event set to feature the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Mark Hamill and Shaquille O’Neal as presenters.

Assuming hosting duties once again is Geoff Keighley, who spoke more about the awards show’s ability to attract high-profile guests who are “truly invested” in the video game industry.

“We look for talent that are truly invested and interested in the space. Either they play or their kids play or their significant other plays. They are people that want to come and pay respects to this industry.”

Recognized for their voice work on Rocksteady’s Arkham series and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Hamill and Sutherland will join O’Neal in presenting awards to the chosen winners on the night. That’s a marked difference from previous years. When The Game Awards were aired on Spike, the network often included guest stars such as Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Munn.

Keighley, on the other hand, wants to ensure that everyone involved has an innate connection to gaming: “Part of what we like to do is create these sort of unique, magical moments where the world of Hollywood sort of comes together with the gaming world and there’s a mutual respect.”

The Game Awards 2015 will take place on Thursday, December 3 at 6 p.m. PT, and we’ll have all the coverage for you right here on PlayStation LifeStyle.
