With less than two months to go until launch, Hitman PlayStation 4 pre-orders through the PlayStation Store are being cancelled.

As the PSN message explains, the cancellation is happening because things have changed significantly for Hitman:

Thank you for pre-ordering Hitman. The publisher has notified us that the configuration of the product you pre-ordered has changed significantly. As a result we have withdrawn the current pre-order from PlayStation Store and will cancel all pre-orders. You will receive email confirmation when your pre-order has been cancelled. A revised pre-order for Hitman will be available on the store soon.

On Twitter, the Hitman account said, “If your Hitman pre-order is cancelled, don’t panic. Release date is still March 11. We’re adjusting a few things & will update in a few days.”

The Hitman pre-order is no longer available on the European PlayStation Store, but the $59.99 full game pre-order is still available in North America.

Back in September, Io-Interactive said a $34.99 Intro Pack would be available at launch, with a $29.99 Upgrade giving you access to the content they had planned for the following months. The $59.99 full game includes all content.

There’s also a beta planned for February on PS4.

When Io-Interactive announces the adjustments, we’ll let you know all about them.
