It’s been very difficult to keep up with all of the great PlayStation 4 releases, and that’s largely due to Sony getting support from indie developers. Just this year we’ve already seen amazing titles like The Witness, Downwell, and Enter the Gungeon come out. While each of those had considerable hype behind their release, the great thing about indie games is that some seemingly come out of nowhere and absolutely rule.
In order to shine some spotlight towards these games on gaming’s biggest week, and to talk about some games I really want to play, I’ve put together a list of 10 indie games to look forward to at E3 2016. While I can’t guarantee all of these will be in action on the show floor (although I did comb announcements for some), we’ll hopefully get some more information on each of these 10 rad looking games.
I hope you enjoyed my look at 10 indie games that I can’t wait to hear more about at E3 2016. There are still dozens of promising looking indie games that didn’t make my list, either due to them being on last year’s list or just running out of space (10 games isn’t much!), but hopefully they’ll find a way to stand out from the crowd.
Let us know what you thought of our list, and what indie games you are looking forward to hearing more of at E3 2016 in the comments below.

Absolver
Absolver looks awesome. The online combat RPG has players battling it out in order to claim supremacy, and the game appears to play as well as it looks. That's saying a lot and thankfully it's confirmed to be at E3 this year.
-
Chasm
Discord Games' Chasm looks to be the next procedurally generated hit. The action RPG randomly creates Metroid-esque dungeons, and received a lot of praise in PSLS' preview last year.
-
Crossing Souls
Few publishers have a track record of releasing excellence like Devolver Digital does. They'll be handling Fourattic's Crossing Souls, an action RPG which was announced to be coming to PlayStation 4 at last year's Sony press conference. It should be playable this year, considering Devolver has a whole parking lot full of games.
-
The Forest
Few survival games have been as intriguing as The Forest. It's been out in early access on PC for almost two years now, and hopefully a finished release is coming soon on PlayStation 4. I'm hopeful we'll find out more at this year's E3.
-
Golem
One of the most promising looking PlayStation VR games is Golem. It's the first title from developer Highwire Games, which was founded by former Bungie employees. It's particularly interesting since it'll have players alternating between playing in virtual reality and regularly.
-
The Jackbox Party Pack 3
Jackbox Games have been consistently delivering party fun for many years now, and they've really hit the Jackpot (sorry) with their Party Pack series. The latest game compilation will be The Jackbox Party Pack 3, and I have no clue what to expect from it other than zany fun. Hopefully some of the games will be shown off at E3, and a new You Don't Know Jack will be apart of it.
-
Night in the Woods
Infinite Fall's gorgeous adventure game Night in the Woods already has been confirmed to be at E3, and that's great since the game is set to release this fall. It won't be too long until players get to see what's up with college dropout Mae Borowski and crew.
-
One Way Trip
A lot of games deal with the world ending, but they don't typically have everyone taking psychadelic drugs right beforehand. One Way Trip looks absolutely crazy (maybe even trippy if I were to be right on the nose), and hopefully gamers will learn more about it at E3.
-
Shadow Warrior 2
Flying Wild Hog knocked it out of the park last year when they revived the Shadow Warrior series. The action was fast-paced, the combat was brutal, and it retained the sense of humors fans wanted. Now they're upping the ante even further with Shadow Warrior 2, which will feature four-player cooperative play.

Thumper
Thumper absolutely stole the show for me last year. I had never heard of Drool's rhythm violence game before I tried it on the showfloor and I was absolutely blown away by the amount of audiovisual stimulation I was witnessing. Now the game is coming to PlayStation VR, and will hopefully get the attention it deserves.
