The Division Update 1.4 Will Finally Allow Players to Preview Cosmetic Items
Ubisoft and Massive are about to release update 1.4 for The Division, and among several performance fixes and optimizations, the update will include something that should have been part of the game since day one: the ability to preview cosmetic items before putting them on.
The way the game is currently, if you want to see how a jacket or a scarf looks on your character, you have to put it on, go back into the cosmetic item menu, and then zoom in on the article of clothing you were looking at in the first place. For those who don’t care how their character looks, it’s not that big of a deal. However, for those of us who will not put on certain hats in RPGs no matter how much defense they provide, simply because they don’t match our breastplates, it is a big deal. I’ve spent way too much time trying on articles of clothing in The Division, taking them off again, trying on something else, and repeat, because I couldn’t preview what my character would look like with this item. It’s trivial, but it will make hunting down the best scarf so much easier.
We’re waiting to hear what other fixes will come with update 1.4, as well as when it will roll out.
