Resident Evil VII PS4 Pro Support Shown Off, Game Is 90% Complete

The seventh main entry in the Resident Evil series is set to release in January 2017, and now Capcom has announced that Resident Evil VII Biohazard is 90% completed. This news comes from an Ambassador Meeting that the Japanese publisher held. That’s not the only interesting tidbits to come out of the event, though, as participants got to play a brand new demo, and see the horror title running on a PS4 Pro.

The 90% completion shows that Resident Evil VII development is going smoothly, and was tweeted out by blogger Alex Aniel who attended the event. Check out his Twitter post below:

Aniel also got a chance to check out Resident Evil VII: Biohazard running on a PlayStation 4 Pro while connected to a 4K television. While no photos were allowed, he said that the detail “is amazing.” That’s certainly good news for early adopters of Sony’s PlayStation 4 hardware revision.

Here’s what Aniel had to say about a new demo he got to play, although he couldn’t divulge specifics:

Played a new #RE7 demo; can’t talk about what was in it specifically. But it was pretty darn good. Loving the game’s focus and direction.

While this update is light on concrete details, it’s reaffirming to know that development is going well for Resident Evil VII: Biohazard. The first-person horror game’s January 24 release date is quickly approaching, and it looks like everything is wrapping up nicely on Capcom’s side. We’ll get to check out their hard work, and see if the Resident Evil series is back in a major way in early 2017.
