Marvel Heroes Omega Exits Beta, Releases This Month

Marvel Heroes Omega, the console version of Gazillion’s action MMORPG, will officially release later this month. On June 30, the Diablo-style game will exit open beta on PlayStation 4 and officially release as a free-to-play title. It’ll also release on Xbox One on the same date, although that version was never available in beta form.

Marvel Heroes has been available on PC since 2013, and has been highly successful as a free-to-play title. Players can purchase a wide variety of Marvel heroes (and villains), level them up through combat, and take on quests. While earnable in-game currency is used to unlock a lot of the game, characters & costumes can also be purchased using real currency. Omega‘s open beta has been available since May 23, and was in a closed beta prior to that.

For those that haven’t played the game, here’s how developer Gazillion describes it:

Offered as a free download, Marvel Heroes Omega combines the core gameplay of action-RPGs and MMOs with an expansive library of heroes from the Marvel Universe. Take on the role of your favorite characters, including Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Defenders, the Inhumans, the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more! With thousands of hours of character progression, hundreds of costumes, and an ever-growing roster of playable heroes and rewards, Marvel Heroes Omega comes packed with tons of replay value and a steady stream of new challenges coming in regular updates.

Marvel Heroes Omega is set to release June 30, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It originally released for PC in 2013, and has been regularly updates since then.
