Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is getting closer to its September 12 (September 15 in Europe) release date, and now you can try a demo of the game on the PlayStation 4. While the title is set to come out on the PlayStation 4, Vita, and PC, the demo is only available on the PS4, so make sure not to go onto the other platforms for this demo. NIS America also released a new trailer for the game, showing off the additional content that the PlayStation 4 and Steam versions of Ys VIII  have over the Vita version.

Here is the trailer for the additional content:

There’s also plenty more information about Ys VIII from NIS America’s official webpage, like how Adol ended up on a cursed island:

He left his homeland, a nameless village in the Europe region, when he was just 16 years old and dated to adventure in the Ancient Kingdom “Ys,” the Land of Mystery “Celceta,” and more. Although young, he is respected as an expert “adventurer.”

He was traveling across the Gaete Sea as a passenger of the Lombardia when the ship was attacked by an unseen giant sea creature. He went missing along with the other passengers.

There’s also a 14 minute long gameplay video that you can watch to get a feel for the action RPG’s gameplay.

You can download the PlayStation 4 demo right from Sony’s PlayStation StoreYs VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will release September 12 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC.
