Firmware 3.41 Issues Resolved

Last week, Sony released firmware 3.41 for the PlayStation 3, which enabled suggested downloads in the PlayStation Store. While many users downloaded and updated without much of an issue, others who were upgrading their hard drives or updating on a system that did not have 3.40 installed were having problems. A fix seems to have been made recently.

The files retain the same names, but the contents are slightly different. Whatever Sony changed in the firmware appears to have fixed the issue, and it was also silently released save for customers receiving an email if they had filed a support ticket on Sony’s support site. You can download the update here, and report back with your results!
