Bayonetta’s Back-Side Scores a Discount

Only days ago, Hashimoto from Platinum Games announced that some big news will be coming soon regarding Bayonetta. Many have wondered if a sequel will be announced, or perhaps even some new DLC to bring fans back to the well-received title. However, it turns out that the surprise is only good news for those who probably don’t even know who or what Bayonetta is.

Platinum Games has announced that Bayonetta will be receiving a Platinum version in Japan. Priced at ¥3,990, or $46 dollars, the upcoming budget edition of Bayonetta will feature the standard Platinum packaging, but will will be reversible. Might I add, the back-side of the reversible cover slip is much better looking than the front-side, just like Bayonetta herself.

The PlayStation 3 version of Bayonetta Platinum Edition will also include additional trailer content not seen in the original release including a Vanquish trailer never before released in Japan. While this can be considered a disappointment for fans that expected a big announcement, this has certainly been a great announcement for people who haven’t experienced one of the best action games this generation. For fans who don’t want to import the Japanese version, there was a three-month difference between the Japanese and North American releases, so we should be seeing a Greates Hits edition announcement within the next few months.

Below you can see both the front and back of the reversible cover for Bayonetta’s upcoming Japanese Platinum version:
