PES 2011 Gets Dated For a Day After FIFA 11

Oh boy: this is going to be intense. The two biggest football titles in existence will come face to face, literally. FIFA 11’s September 28th release date has already been known for some time. But now, during gamescom, Konami has announced Pro Evolution Soccer 2011’s release date.

Just two day after FIFA 11 gets released, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 will be shooting into stores on September 30 in the UK and Europe. That’s right, despite FIFA 11 which holds a massive portion of the football market year after year, release after release, Konami are so confident that their latest football game can go toe-to-toe with EA Sports over 10-million unit selling franchise.

When Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 was first revealed, it was promised to undergo major changes – after complaints about most installments in the series being too similar – to become the best title in the long-running Konami franchise. So, it looks like Konami are holding strong belief on that statement and we’ll see what unveils come the end of September.
