As FreeStyleGames’ DJ Hero 2 approaches its release date later this month the game’s publisher, Activision, has decided to announce incentives for the second iteration in the popular franchise.
The offers across various retailers are as follows:
- Gamestop – Purchasing DJ Hero 2 Turntable Bundle or Party Bundle at will receive an exclusive turntable controller bag by PUMA. Stylish, durable and valued at $45 MSRP, the exclusive turntable controller bag is perfect for carrying your gear to a friend’s house for late night battles or when you’re on the road.
- Amazon.com – Pre-order any version of DJ Hero 2 from Amazon and receive two free remixes from the game’s on-disc soundtrack in the form of MP3s. Deadmau5 and Kaskade have teamed up with Activision to give gamers MP3s of the exclusive remixes of “I Remember” and “Move for Me” – straight from the game.
- Best Buy – For a limited time only and while supplies last, Activision are giving away a premium hard-shell turntable carrying case that converts to a performance-ready DJ stand as a gift with the purchase of a DJ Hero 2 Turntable Bundle or Party Bundle. Additionally, gamers who pre-order or purchase any version of the game at launch from Best Buy will score a code to unlock the Deadmau5 in-game playable character from the box.
- DeadMau5 and EMI, fans of award winning producer and electronic music sensation can order DJ Hero 2 with a host of exclusive DeadMau5-themed goodies, including a chance at winning a fly away trip to play DJ Hero 2 with the man himself. Activision recently confirmed that consumers who purchase either the DJ Hero 2 Turntable Bundle or Party Bundle will get a standalone version of the first DJ Hero game for free. DJ Hero 2 is currently scheduled for a release on October 19th, 2010.
