Back in 2005, fans of Highlander were happy to see that there would finally be a game based on their beloved series. The game was slated for a 2009 release initially, then it was pushed back. Worry set in as to if this game by Square Enix and Widescreen Games would ever see the light of day. The latest news proves that those worries were warranted.
According to IGN, they were contacted by a representative from Square Enix stating that the title had in fact been canceled. This may anger many fans of the series, but this title was slowly reaching Duke Nukem: Forever status.
