Lead Programmer on Bayonetta Serving as Director of Metal Gear Rising

Kenji Saito, the man responsible for heading up the programming team behind Capcom’s estrogen-powered action title Bayonetta has been confirmed to be the director of the Metal Gear spin-off Revengeance.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Saito’s role was confirmed during a roundtable interview with Kojima, Minami and Inaba. Alongside this confirmation, Metal Gear Rising was reported to make an appearance at this year’s E3 in playable demo form.

It was originally believed that Hideki Kamiya, the director of Bayonetta would serve the same role on Rising, but now, that clearly isn’t the case. Plus, he made every attempt to squash such rumors via Twitter.

So what does this mean for Rising? Well, considering the bang-up job Saito did on Bayonetta, it’s comforting news for the future of Revengeance.
