When Gotham City Impostors was first announced last May, there were no doubt many skeptics who thought a spin-off of Batman in FPS form couldn’t really compete with big name games. Since then, we’ve not seen a whole lot of the game, at least on the console. While the beta has been ongoing for the PC version of the game, the consoles have been left out of the fun. That changes today.
In an email only just released, an open beta has begun for the console versions of Gotham City Impostors. Simply sign in to your PSN account, and find the beta download on the PlayStation Store. There are no special codes required, and the beta will run from today until February 6, 2012. A couple of the PSLS members have already played the beta on PC, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this download. However, there is no telling how well the game will run on the PS3 until we actually try it, there is no reason to believe that the beta would release in shoddy condition (though stranger things have happened).
