Up until now, Arcane Studio’s first-person action-adventure game Dishonored has been shrouded in mystery. Now, publisher Bethesda is finally pulling back the curtain that has been veiling the game for the past several months, revealing details on the story, gameplay and the title’s unique feature set.
These details come fresh off of a video interview that GameSpot recently had with Dishonored’s creative directors Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio. In the clip, they discuss how their approach to open-ended gameplay fosters a renewed sense of creativity and player choice within the game experience. From summoning a pack of rats to possessing a nearby creature, the powers given to the player allow for a wide array of different ways to tackle a particular obstacle.
They also went on to emphasize the rich detail of the game world, noting that the team has really put a lot of work into fleshing out the verticality of the world, allowing for a true sandbox-esque experience. For all of the details, be sure to check out the full video interview below.
