Telltale Games have revealed that The Walking Dead game is being submitted for approval on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade this week, with a release expected soon.
CEO Dan Connors told Digital Trends that the approval process for the first episode should take six weeks, barring any problems, and TWD should release soon after. Connors said that the company wants to capitalize on the popularity of the TV show, and as the second season sadly ends next week, the faster the game can be released, the better.
Telltale Games’ other comic book adaptation, an episodic game series based on Bill Willingham’s Fables series, is also set to release this year. The developer plans to launch the game in Q3, with a first appearance at or around E3 and another at San Diego Comic-Con.
