New Crystal Dynamics IP to Launch on Next-Gen Platforms

Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot, has started to hire for their next IP, which will launch on the next-generation of consoles.

The job listing on the studio’s website seeks an “Animation Engineer to collaborate with industry leading animators and programmers to create a cutting edge, original IP for future platforms.” The successful applicant will also “Utilize and perfect your expertise in animation as well as develop knowledge in the following specialties: physics, 3D graphics/rendering, AI, player systems, cameras, networking and game tools.”

While the listing doesn’t offer any hint as to what the new game/IP could be, the successful applicant for the animation engineer position would be working on “third-person action adventure AAA titles.”

A PS4 and Xbox 720 version of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver has been rumored to be in development by Crystal Dynamics. But, for now, the Square Enix subsidiary is currently focusing on the publisher’s reboot of Tomb Raider, which is currently scheduled for a worldwide release on March 5th, 2013.
