Despite the fact that Criterion Games’ open-world racer Need for Speed: Most Wanted has yet to hit store shelves, it looks like EA is already gearing up for the next installment in their popular racing franchise.
CVG spotted a bunch of new job postings on EA Gothenburg’s website. The listing says the following:
Would you like to be a part of EA? Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? You now have the opportunity to become a part of EA Gothenburg and fulfill those two wishes! We are hiring, and we are hiring a lot! To the right you will find what roles we’re currently looking to fill – if you feel that any of descriptions match your profile, don’t hesitate: apply now!
They’re also touting the fact that this new Need for Speed will make use of the publisher’s beloved Frostbite 2 engine, the same tech that powers a number of EA games including Battlefield 3. “EA Gothenburg is a new EA studio focusing on making a new generation of games on the Frostbite 2 engine.”
