PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: February 16th & 17th – Illegal Alien Edition

Appearing just in time to receive a mention, Dan’s Aliens: Colonial Marines review went live just a short period of time ago. I won’t spoil exactly what the final score was for the title, I’ll just say that he was very disappointed and it forced him to ask the question – What the hell happened?

Needless to say, Aliens: Colonial Marines won’t be on our playlists this weekend:

Cameron Teague – PR Manager/Reviews Coordinator (@Cameron_PSLS)

I finally have something else to say in the blurb this week outside of Ni no Kuni and League of Legends so this feels good. I just received Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory in the mail for review and bought Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for the PS3 and Vita, so I plan to put a fair amount of time into both this weekend. I think I will also find some time to try out the demo for Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires and the PS+ trial for Persona 4 Arena.

Chandler Wood – News & Trophy Guide Writer (@FinchStrife)

After finally being done with the trophy guides for Dead Space 3 and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, I think I’m going to dig into my backlog and start playing all the games that I got within the last four months and have yet to touch. Far Cry 3 and XCOM are begging to be played, and I haven’t put nearly as much time into Ni no Kuni as I want to. I might find time to work towards a couple more Vita platinum trophies in Uncharted and Gravity Rush as well. Wait, what? There are only two days in the weekend…?

Dan Oravasaari – Recovering From a Colonial-oscopy (@FoolsJoker)

This weekend will be me handling some of the final touches to prepare for my big move next weekend. Past that, I will be shooting and editing the Bad Gamers podcast, and trying to wipe the memory of Aliens: Colonial Marines out of my mind.

Jason Dunning – Lead News Writer (@Jasonad21)

After not finding any time for it last week, I’ll be diving into Syndicate and, hopefully, playing it all weekend. In the chance that I really don’t like it though, I’ll probably play some Resident Evil 6 with the latest patch installed and see if that improved anything.

Jesse Meikle – News Writer (@Jesse_WM)

This weekend I will be busy working more than gaming, but, I’ll probably find myself playing PlayStation All-Stars online as I venture down the time consuming path of trying to master Starhawk‘s protagonist, Emmett Graves in the Battle Royale. Catherine showed up last week, and I’ve been stuck on one of the puzzles. I’ll take another crack at the point I’m stuck on, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll probably look online for the solution; I’m not really playing Catherine for the puzzle gameplay anyway.

Louis Edwards – Writer (@ftwrthtx)

Another weekend approaches but I can’t really say what I’m playing this time. I currently have two embargoed titles on my chopping block so I can’t really name either one. I will say that both are great games and are worth the anticipation. I’ll probably still be playing one of them next weekend, so I’ll be sure to mention that one again next week.

Sebastian Moss – Favorite Instrument is the Kaz-oo (@SebMoss)

Bah, how can I be expected to concentrate on a current-gen game on the eve of the PS4 announcement? I’m too excited, and will be spending my time looking at pictures of Kaz instead.

What will you be playing this weekend? Any thoughts on what those embargoed titles Louis is reviewing may be? Let us know in the comments below.
